Cant an engine who got hydrolocked be fixed easily? I would think just remove the spark plugs and suck out the water with a pump and then start car up normally to burn off any remaining water. Of course im sure its not as simple as that being as how u had to take it to the shop but on a plane when the engine is hydrolocked with oil they remove spark plug, allow oil to drain out, crank the engine (using prop.) to make sure piston can reach tdc, then star her up. Maybe theres somehting im missing but then again it never happend to me before so im not 100% sure. Glad to hear ur getting ur car back though. Good luck with it.
